I feel I must interject here

I'm breathing heavy.

I have a face the colour of a beetroot.

I've just got back from playing football having not played for four weeks. It's amazing how quickly you can become unfit. And how long it'll take to get back to the level you were at. So I'm knackered and not in the mood to do a long post. But then, what need for words, when music this good speaks for itself.

In this session, the songs seem so raw and natural. So beautiful. Any claims of coldness or distance that can levelled at electronic music, are instantly dismissed in the performance of these three songs by The Postal Service.

'Nothing Better' is heartbreaking in it's break up denial and honest refutal. 'Recycled Air' begins at a slower pace and is the most varied version of the three songs. Stripped back to soft guitar and semi-duetted, it feels sadder and wrenches at the emotions in a different but no lesser or greater way than the studio version. 'The District Sleeps Alone Tonight', concludes the set. Again sounding more subdued and understated, the softness of the beats and the subtlety of the ever present keyboard add a sombre tone to the song.

If you don't own it, correct that mistake now and go buy 'Give Up'.
