Wow!
What a year of live music it has been.
I mean, really, sooooo many gigs. No, strike that. So many GREAT gigs. Some truly life affirming moments. So I'd thought I'd share a few of my live highlights with you and link back to the reviews I wrote so you can see why they were so awesome. I would say that these were in no particular order but I'd be lying. They are in order. Date order to be precise. Except for the first two, which are not only the best two gigs I went to this year, but would definately make the top five best gigs I've ever been to. If I ever compiled such a list. Which you never know, I may well do.
And seriously, if you get the chance to see any of these bands, I urge you to do so.
Radiohead at Civic Hall, Wolverhampton 15/05/06 (read the review)
Nick Cave at Symphony Hall, Birmingham 30/01/06 (read the review)
Broken Social Scene at Academy 2, Birmingham 15/02/2006 (read the review)
