Three songs picked just got I fancied playing them and sharing them.

And I hope you like them as much as I do. Men Without Pants have a name that verges on either brilliance or just downright stupidity. Despite or indeed because of that fact, the song is great. As well it should be when you consider that the band are made up of Russell Simins from Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Dan The Automator.

Next up, The Drones, a band from Australia. And they certainly ain't no good time party band. With echoes of Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, there's is a sound of tightly coiled fury and rage wrapped in a prowling noise and bluster.

And we end tonight with We Ragazzi. You could neatly describe this as alternative American rock. The awkward vocal style the angular, disjointed guitars. the striding rhythm section. Yet as cliched and obvious as it may sound on paper, it sounds strangely original.
