Just a short post today after my mammoth Glastonbury review of the other day.
But still Glastonbury themed.
Thought I'd share a few more songs from the festival. So here are three more. Two from performances I didn't see and one from the great Klaxons set I saw. It'd be interesting to hear if anyone watched Arctic Monkeys and what you thought of them as I've heard conflicting reports. Friends who watched on tv from the comfort of their homes said it looked like an awesome performance. But friends at the festival who were in the crowd disagreed. They said there were sound problems, the band looked bored and nervous and no real atmosphere due to large breaks between songs. So who's right? While you decide, why not have a listen to this cover of the Bond theme they played in honour of Shirley Bassey's appearance on Sunday. Thankfully Dame Bassey didn't return the compliment. Though if she had it probably couldn't have been much worse than Tom Jones' abysmal mauling of 'I Bet you Look Good On The Dancefloor' at that Diana thing last weekend.
By contrast, CSS have been getting nothing but good reviews. Reports suggest a real funtime festival performance which I was gutted to miss but alas it happened. On the basis of this track, it sounds like they were on fine form.
And if you read the review below, you'll already know I thought Klaxons were ace and hopefully in this track you'll get a flavour of just how good they were.
Arctic Monkeys - diamonds are forever (live at Glastonbury 2007)
Cansei De Ser Sexy - let's make love & listen to Death From Above (live at Glastonbury 2007)
Klaxons - golden skans (live at Glastonbury 2007)

Couldn't make it to glasto this year, but been reading your review and of course watched the coverage. Great review here, enjoying your blog.

Love the Monkeys track, don't think I want to hear Tom Jones' take on 'Dancefloor!'
