Think about you all the time

I'm sure by now, you've heard that Cat Power has a new covers record coming out.

Due for release on January 21st next year, it features covers of songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, James Brown and Bob Dylan amongst others.

Whether it'll be a return to the bare acoustics of old or more of the soul funk of 'The Greatest', remains to be seen. Maybe it'll be a combination. Who knows. One thing we can be almost certain of, is that it will be unreservedly amazing. At least lets hope so. 'Song To Bobby', the first track to be taken from 'Jukebox', is available exclusively via iTunes tomorrow (13th November) but if you can't wait that long, I thought this might help tide you over for a while.

Originally by Buddy Holly, this cover won't be appearing on the forthcoming album. Not that it wouldn't fit in perfectly on any Cat Power record. It is after all, oozing with sumptuous mix of elegance, desire and melancholy.
