So Radiohead played a very intimate gig last night at 93 Feet East.
Sadly, not being in London, I didn't go.
But being the generous band that they are, they broadcast the whole thing on the web for the non lucky ones. And my god was it good. They played the whole of 'In Rainbows' in order then followed it with a great encore of songs from across their back catalogue. The sound was great. The band were on typically top form. And the crowd looked and sounded as though they were all in complete ecstacy. The version of 'Videotape' is just simply stunning.
The whole thing begs two questions. Were you there? And, can Radiohead do no wrong?

Hey bud,
I drop by here pretty regularly, as there is always something nice to find. There is a real crossover in our music tastes (I mean, how many other folks listen to dEUS? Did you know they have a new album scheduled in a couple of months?). Particularly like the recent Radiohead post. And you're right: they sound more liberated than they have ever done; it's as if they are really enjoying themselves. You know of anywhere where you can get the full set?

Man I wish I was there and I also wish I heard about this sooner then I could have watched it online, of course there would be a considerable time difference.
As you and I both know, Radiohead can do no wrong. I love them, I love everything they do. And I can't wait to see them live on their upcoming tour.
I found out they are coming to LA in August! Now I am just waiting for the tickets to go on sale. :-)

as for the questions asked... well, I live around 2500 miles away from London (that's Athens, Greece) and, as far as I'm concerned and being a huge fan for 12 years... um, no they can't.
watching the gig last night would've been nigh on impossible if I hadn't already secured tickets to see them in France. my last time was in 2003 so after all these recent webcasts, to say I'm excited is the understatement of the year. still 5 months to go though. ahhh, 14th of June, where art thou???!?
'Nude' and 'Jigsaw' were also great. and 'My Iron Lung'... it'll always feel like being 18 again. :-)
