It doesn't seem to matter much

Bill Callahan's smooth baritone is enveloping me.

Promising to never let go.

It's a strong embrace. Comforting. Protective. Offering warmth. And a wisdom of years I've yet to experience. But for all it's strength and dignity, there is a vulnerability. A half disguised, self doubt that lingers and reveals the humanity behind the armoured exterior. It's battle worn. Scarred. There are chinks in the armour. An uncertainty it can't overcome. It wants to hide in the shadows but dare not escape the spotlight lest it forever live in darkness. Whether to be happy or sad, it can't decide. So it chooses to just be.
