Listening to these track feels a bit like eavesdropping.

As though Elliott is sat at his piano unaware of your presence.

The piano sounds so sparse. The singer so vulnerable. So lonely. His music so personal. Like he's let slip a pain that he's struggling to disguise. And you want to say something. But the pain sounds so beautiful that you just listen in silent awe. Enraptured. And you feel like you daren't breathe incase you disturb him. And when he sings 'do you miss me', you silently mouth yes.
